CRAG-VT Adopt-A-Crag 2006
Saturday, September 16th
Now that fall is approaching, it’s time for CRAG-VT’s annual Adopt-A-Crag event. We invite all who support public access to hiking and climbing to assist with much-needed trail maintenance. This year we plan on improving access trails as well as reducing erosion at two local crags. Please wear sturdy work clothes and be sure to bring work gloves. Refreshments will be provided.
We plan on commencing activities at the Lower West Bolton crag at 11:00am and work on various tasks until 3:00pm. Parking will be very limited, so carpooling is a must. Feel free to park extra vehicles at the Bolton Quarry, located 2.3 miles east of Lower West Bolton via Route 2 and Green Mountain Drive, where we will end the day with a hearty lunch, gear raffle, and rock climbing. Please be courteous to our neighbors on Green Mountain Drive by driving slow.
We are in need of shovels, rock bars, pick axes, rakes, and wheelbarrows. If you can provide any of these tools for the day, let us know at info@cragvt.org. In case of changes, please visit http://www.cragvt.org as the date nears. We look forward to seeing you there! :D
