Thanks for posting. I enjoyed this. One of my friends just got a highline and we are going later this month to set it up in north alabama.

Just out of curiosity when you say "got a highline" do you mean a kit/set or just that he got all the goods so he can set one up?

I think it is pretty funny that dude was dragging a banner behind him on his leash. Man that looks like a pain in the ass.

He bought a 240 feet long set/kit. Paid ~$900 for everything I think.

hmm, that is kind of expensive. You could do it for less. Did he use Monster Locks or something?

I'm not sure what brand or company he used. He had a 100ft line with a second 100ft line to fall on that he played around with for a while and got sketched out about it. Said he wanted it to be made for highlineing and wanted to buy one specifically made for it. Personally I wouldn't be able to afford it. Glad I got friends who can buy expensive toys and let me play on them.

That's actually not that expensive, between pulleys, rope, line, shackles, braking device, ascender, and maybe some rigging plates, along with other misc. gear 900 seems like a fair price. On a different note, Monster locks are the shit!
