I just posted this in the news, but I want everyone to know here. The site will be down for several hours. We are upgrading a lot of stuff including the forums. More on the details after we upgrade. Mainly, if things don't go right, we will restore everything so I don't want to explain too much until AFTER we complete it all.
Also, after the site returns, I expect there to be LOTS of issues. I know this is bad, but if we don't do this now, it could take another few weeks of testing to get it perfect. I think it should be close enough that we should be able to work out any last issues during the few days after the release.
Finally, please do not PM or email me or Tim about any issues right away. We will not respond because we will be frantically working to fix things and we won't have time to answer questions.

The new BB style is great! The visual skin looks really nice, much better than the old one. Also the strechy-html tables lets you expand the window and the text... NICE!

I'm confused, like everybody. So far more bad has come from this than good as far as I can see, but all will be well soon. I'm glad everyone likes it.

It appears my 'mark' account didn't make it over in the move... neither did the posts I made about my road trip, or my private messages which had important information stored in them.
If the 'mark' acount has been deleted then I would appreciate an answer as to why it was done so without notice to me. Otherwise I don't care if you merge those posts with my fiend account, I would just like my info back, I had a lot of contact which were needed for my trip this summer, stored in that account.

hey mark, didja notice the Website News item where it said Duplicate Email Addresses are being purged?
If you would be so kind as to mention things like "yeah I'd rather retain my Mark account than my Fiend account" it would really help to avoid this sort of issue. Of course if people didn't abuse accounts so much we wouldn't have to constrain the DB so much, but they do so we do.
I'll see what I can do to swap your accounts. Basically, unless you can provide another address (mark@halcyonclimbing.com?!?) one of them is going to die. Fiend survived cause it was earlier, we can change that though.

Might I request that my two accounts be merged into the fiend account? I noticed you did that for Lox.
mark@halcyonclimbing.com would be a perfectly valid email account if you need it.
And no, I didn't notice the news post, I haven't been checking the site lately and once I get my PMs back then I probably won't be checking often again. I notice now that I must have missed the news post and this is my own fault, but I rarely scroll down the front page anymore.

Love the new BB, just thinking some of the text looks a bit big and ugly. just my opinion but apart from that it looks great.
