Hello

Brit recently moved to DC area and looking for partners to climb trad routes at Seneca and surrounding area throughout the summer. I've climbed in various countries over the past ten years, though sporadically over the past 3-4. i'm looking to get back into the swing of things with pretty easy long routes. If you want to lead harder ones then for now, I'll clean up after you until I get my eye in. Ideal partner profile: a safe, open minded happy go lucky type with a team spirit, good sense of humour, likes beer, camping, and as climbing goes someone who is more energised by getting stuck in, than talking about the latest shape of cams. All of which would describe myself, probably. :)

Drop me a note if you are interested and we could meet over a pint and take it from there.

Cheers.

Hey,
Check this site out. Lots of us post here and you are sure to find some experienced partners.

I, for one, really want to get into some trad at Seneca. I am fairly new, (about a year) but I lead 5.9-10a Sport outdoors. If you ever need a second let me know. I am probably going to take a trad lead course at Seneca this weekend.

Hey, Brit.

I recently moved to the area myself. I am having a hard time to find climbing/camping partner for the summer. While working long hour all week, my weekends are trouble free. I am safe and easy going. Humor sucks, though. Would love to hook up.

Hello,
Great to hear from you, sounds like you are in the same boat as me. I was starting to think this forum business was never going to work out.

My weekends are pretty free and I'm dying to get back in the swing of things (excuse pun). Ideally, I'd like to make 2-3 weekend outings per month. I was recently introduced to Carder rock which is a worthwhile midweek option though it sounds like you are tied up.

Kwazy how are you doing for transport? and how's your calendar looking for the first weekend in June?

Self correction here, I do not have a cat, I have a car. Brit, are you still interested?

zap, a delayed reply, apols. Thanks for the offer sounds excellent. I've met a few nice people, well electronically anyway, and don't mind doing a little admin to get a group together so we can climb as regularly as everyone would like to.

drop me an e-mail on mbc@agiweb.org
cheers,
Mark

Hello Brit Climber,

Are you still looking for a partner? I'm a 40-year-old, experienced trad climber looking to do a little more rock than I've done in the past few years. I live in Richmond, and by far the best rock within four hours is Seneca, which I've only visited once. I'm a college professor, so right now (summer) weekends and even some weekdays are easy to get away. I can be pretty flexible.
Please let me know if you're interested.
