So I need some ideas on good first ever Aid routes to do in the valley. I've never climbed Aid before so something easy would be nice.

The big boulder at Le Conte Memorial has some very steep bolt ladders on it for practice aid. Church Bowl Tree at Church Bowl is a good first aid lead on gear. It's where the Yosemite Mountain school goes. It's also a good free climb. There is also a multi pitch route on Rixons pinnacle, but I don't know much about it. Aid climbing is torture. I don't know why I keep doing it.

The route on Rixons is fun and pretty easy, but there's lots of rockfall three. Almost took me out!

I did some practice on the first pitch of Dihedral wall...that's a nice practice aid pitch.

Between Camp 4 and the Three Brothers, up there in the forest, is Bear Rock. It's about the size of a castle or large mansion, and hidden by the trees. There is a bolt ladder route on it, which is now about A3+ because of rust. Or maybe not. When I did it in '83, it was pretty bomber.

Bear Rock was swept by HUGE MASSIVE rockfall on both sides a few years ago. Last year, rocks were still coming down in the area. Still, the aid climbing is on the side opposite the wall where the rocks came down. You'd probably be safe there even in a huge slide, and you certainly wouldn't have any company up there Peace karl
