I have a older single buckle yates shield harness and would like to know from others if there is a way that you have found to prevent web creep. Intially I start off with the harness nice and snugged up against my hip bones, but after a few pitches it rides slightly lower on me and looser. Is there a way to prevent this? If not is there a recommended safe way to cinch it back up perhaps while at a belay station? Thanks

I'd contact Yates directly about that. I know they have replaced their buckle design in recent years and may have some good advice for you. Heck, they may offer to replace it. http://www.yatesgear.com/ Ed

I have a shield harness with the double buckle and I get creep as well. However, it takes a few pitches, at the very least, to loosen up on me. If there's a fix, then I'm interested to know as well. Good luck finding answers, Jason :D

i've have a shield harness, but it has the new buckle that's supposed to stop the creep. works like a charm. just a though, but have you guys tried to tie an overhand knot just past the buckle to maybe jam the buckle. i'm not sure it will work but it maybe worth a try. of course the webbing maybe too thick to get the knot tight or close enough to do any good. wait wait, i've got it. tie a half hitch with the extra webbing around the part that enters the buckle. if you have enough weave it around its self. it will be easy to get it tight. let we know if it work, good luck
