Alright, I understand how a person would negotiate something like the fourth pitch of Tangerine Trip, i.e. simply aiding downward. My question pertains to bailing off really steep terrain. Some Supertopos say "down-aiding" is required for retreat. How would you cat's go about this? Would you keep yourself on repell as you aided downward, or would you full-on lead the pitch in reverse? Can anyone offer up their epics brought on by fleeing the super-steep? (T minus 5 weeks and counting...) Rock on, john
