yes but on the Nose you can hide on big ledges and scrunch back in the dihedrals and pretend you're not way up on El Cap for a few minutes

There are certainly times that the exposure gets to you, but for me that's part of the draw.

If it wasn't for this exposure and the views afforded by the height, the climbing would probably not be as rewarding.

Much of the time, climbing exposure doesn't bother me, but up on El Cap, there is often a nagging feeling of being "out there."

Most of the time though, it's pretty comfortable cause you get used to it and started from the ground. By the time you get to the top, unroped walking feels a little strange. Sort of the wall equivilent of "sea legs."

If I hike to the top of Half Dome or Glacier Point and look over the edge straight down (without the days of getting used to it) that's scarier than being on the face of EL Cap!

It was not really the exposure that worked me over, it was the hard work and that damn wind.

The absolutely most terrifying experience I had on El Cap was, after topping out on Muir Wall, and getting used to flat ground, I had to rap back down to free the haul bag which we left clipped to the station before the traversing exit. 9mm static line over a huge sharp-edged loose block, me over the rim, in the air, so far out I wasn't sure if I would even be able to reach the bag (Brought a cheater stick down with me, just in case) The sudden return to the vertical was horrible.

Usually, when I'm on El Cap, I don't look down. I'm scared of heights.

Leading the great roof on the Salathe in the wind was unnerving because I kept having to struggle to get into my aiders as I rocked back and forth and they whipped around in the wind. Then, following the headwall pitch was a little spooky since you swing out each time you clean. Long ledge by comparison was a refuge.

HAHAHAHA, you mean you don't crack open some beers in the morning? Pound a 24oz OE at 7am and then get on it!

I haven't been up that wall, but I did Prodigal Son a few years back and I hardley noticed the height at all - I was distracted by the beauty of the canyon!!!
