In reply to: You're a cop? Ha! I smoke pot, what are you gonna do about it? And you know what, one time I got pulled over and I had pot right there in my glove box. And I didn't even get a ticket for anything. And everyone drives 80 or over on the freeway, EVERYONE DOES IT. And I hate speedtraps, everytime I see a motorcycle cop waiting around my school to give students a speeding ticket when their going 5 miles over the limit cuz it's heavy traffic anyway. I work as a dishwasher at a Thai restaurant. This guy makes fun of someone for being a cop, but then he gets off the internet to go to work and wash dishes for a living.... a 'lil ironic. I'm an industrial engineer/production supervisor. Engineering seems to be the common theme.

[quote="bmxer"]You're a cop? Ha! I smoke pot, what are you gonna do about it? And you know what, one time I got pulled over and I had pot right there in my glove box. And I didn't even get a ticket for anything. quote] About 25 years ago, I climbed for the first time Calypso in Eldorado Canyon (CO). Starts with 15' of slabby stuff and then a crack. As I reached into the crack I found a small, nylon, utility sack. Booty. I tossed it to my partner who put it in my pack. When I opened it at home, it was filled with marijuana. I often thought: cop pulls me over, say, for speeding, and discovers the marijuana. I tell him I climbed 15' up a cliff, stuck my hand in a crack and found this bag that I never opened. Who would believe me, besides my belayer? Certainly, not my lawyer. Cheers, Rob.calm P.S. Retired applied mathematician, now a publisher of outdoor books

I am a Land Development Manager for a large residential home builder. It's outdoors and that alone makes it worth while. Just not enough time to climb anymore though. I agree with azrockclimber, the west is the best. I just got back from Jtree. That place is unbelievable. Still got the gunks though.

I do accounting for a heli-ski/heli-hiking company. It leaves me a lot of time to climb between seasons.

I was one of these once. Now I have one of the best climbing jobs in the world--Philosophy professor (If you can get through the uncertainties of grad school, a terrible job market, and getting tenure).

Major, USMC FA-18 flight test. Thank you, taxpayers, for the contributions to the "Jude going fast" campaign. Nowhere near enough time off time to climb. With so many technical types, why do I see a "What’s the force on the rope?" thread every month?

Commercial Lending... Not a whole lot of climbers in this field with me. I evaluate risk all day, and I think my superiors question my sense of acceptable risk when they know what I am doing on the weekends. The bloody knuckles give me away, and I'd rather they know I was climbing instead of thinking that I get in bar fights all the time
