I was reading things on biners but I have no clue what they are. If anybody knows what they are or how they are used could you tell me. Pictures would also be apreciated. Thanks. :)

Thanks. :) I'm not going to call this a troll, so I will take it seriously. A 'biner' is slang for carabiner. check out the Gear Guide for plenty of pics and info on biners and all sorts of other gear, so you don't have to ask questions like this again.

It's what happens when a rock hits you in the head. Seriously, it's a carabiner.

has anyone else heard that "biner" can also be a racial slur... seem to remember this from somewhere. Fender: this is a bit like walking into a hardware store and asking, "what's a screwdriver?"

I can understand if a British climber doesn't know what a "biner" is. Do you Americans honestly know what the Brits mean when they use the term "krab"?

A biner is a kind of gun that the Germans used at Calvary to shoot at Christ - it's a cross between the "V's" that fell like tiny pink hares at Lindesfarne.

Well Fender, now you've figured out what you can learn from rc.com: 1) the answer to your question; 3) that the straight answer is never the funniest answer; 4) that even though you're eleven, you may be the most mature person here.

Depends where you're from, if you're north american you'd prob say bee-ner but if you were english or irish you'd say bi-ner... i'd say bi-ner
