Hey NC crew, I live in Winston and want to do some bouldering. I am looking for two types of places. First, I want places close to winston. Places I can go to after work (once we get daylight savings next week). Secondly, I am looking for places a little further from winston. Cool places I can go with my wife (who is a non-climber boo..hiss). Somewhere she can have a pretty view or lay in the sun and read a book while I climb to my heart's content. Any ideas? Your suggestions are very welcome! Climb On!

Although I usually go there for the great routes, I've heard that the bouldering at Moore's Wall is good. As far as I know, Moore's if gonna be one of the closer crags to winston. If you're ok with driving a bit, stone mt isn't too far and the bouldering there is good. You could also drive up to the Boone area, or head towards asheville and go to rumbling bald. The bald is probably about 1.5 hours from winston and has fantastic bouldering. Hope that helps some

Go by The Great Outdoor Provision Co in Winston and you'll find some good information there. It's in Thruway center.

Bouldering at Moores looks pretty good, have not done any, just look around the aproach trail to the wall.... Stone looks pretty good as well. For really close (i.e. after work kinda stuff) there are a few places at Pilot...
