Hello to all.
This is my first post in the forum as i am a new member.

I am planning to go to the Dolomites/Italy for approximately 2 weeks /7 to 17 of August and I would be very pleased if anybody could help me.

I am planning to do one Via Ferrata just to feel the experience and then climb. So, please tell me 2-3 representative and beautiful Via Ferratas.
I suppose we will sleeping in the refuges. Is it easy to find a bed there
or need to reserve a few days before?

Which is the best place to stay. We are planning to use a camping as a base for our campain but don´t know where is the best (cheap, clean and very close to the mountains/routes). Cortina?Bolzano?

How about the weather? I heard that it is snowing there now. Is that
correct? What about the clothes and the equipment? We must take winter
qiupment (crampon, piolet) as well?

How about the climbing routes? The first 2 days we will do a via ferrata
and the other days we will climb. Routes up to VI / VI+ with nuts and
pitons and good quality of rock. Please propose me a book guide....

All these...

Thanks for reading me

Even if it's snowing right now, you won't need winter equipment like piolet and crampons in August. Thats still 3 weeks from now!
Good via ferrata's? Jeezes, there are so many of them. Do you alreay have any idea of what region of the Dolomites you're heading for?

Tre Cime di Lavaredo and Rosengarten, but I'm sure there will be several other nice places.
You can buy topo's in local shops, both climbing and klettersteig topo's.
When weather is good, the refuges can be full (hikers), don't know about campings.

In my internet page:
www.dolomitesmountainguide.com
at the home page (FREE TOPOS icon)
you’ll find free dolomites climbing relations (Topos).
A lot of proposal of rock and ice climbing, mountaineering, via ferrata, ski touring and more…

Ciao
Roberto
