Telling people what your crashpad is, be it your new Russian backpack, your jet pack, folding boogie board, high-wind kite, and ohhhh the list goes on!!!

maxing out on moves w/o having to worry about the &$@*% factor involved in routes (long run-out, is my belayer paying attention?, only 40 more feet until i'm done) less complicated too; just you, shoes and a pad. no anchors to worry about, no draws to clean. . .

I'm not a boulderer per say (sp.?), but I do enjoy climbing by myself. bouldering can be fun if by yourself. I suppose that is why i started aid climbing though, b/c it is fun by yourself as well.

The brun of the arms, the not much money spent, :D The combination of nature and chalk smell, with out the annoing clinck of the metal, the abiltiy to not wear a shirt with out the harness digging in, the firighting free fall after you screw up, the lack of ball crushng when you fall  , and in general the large amount of freedom that you can't get with climbing. 8^)

i forgot all about the session. for so many reasons it is infinitely easier to work a boulder problem than a route. this gives more people of a larger skill/strength set the chance to work the same sequence of moves and share beta. you can get a pretty cool dynamic going with everyone. you're sharing, encouraging, competing, razzing all at the same time. in addition to my previous post, the best thing about bouldering is the session.

I posted this in another forum and it kinda applies, while bouldering can be fun for a few minutes you need to have balance and do something else.
In reply to: WARNING The following may be coonsidered offensive and downright mean and is not intended for those with "political correctness disease" All I can say is I'm sick of beanie wearing, pot smoking, name comparing, sitting on the ground 90% instead of climbing, "climbers". The reason I got out of allot of mounain biking because it was evolving into this giant ego contest and I'm afraid that climbing is going yuppie just like it (I still cycle allot but not as serious as before), I say climb on and let Sharma worry about his own "sends".
