Anybody out there got a Lomo. I picked up a supersampler last weekend. Its a fun camera, though I don't know how the pictures are going to look.
Fixed apeture, fixed exposure time, four lenses firing a half second aprt. No viewfinder, just point shoot and pray. Plus a nifty ripcord to wind the film.
I'll get my shots tommorow and post the climbing ones as soon as I can scan them

No Viewfinder?! ! Perhaps you should make one and crazy glue it to the camera. By the way, what is this nomo? I am assuming it shows action because of the quarter second apart thing.

Sounds more like "Lame-O" than Lomo, but maybe not. Four lenses? Is this thing supposed to take a panoramic shot, where you duct-tape the prints side-by-side? And use a tripod?

Yep, no view finder, I found the composition of my shots was more interesting then I thought it would be. Unfortunatly the climing pics didn't turn out because it was too dark. But I have others that did that I can post if anyone is interested.
The camerea promotes a great shoot form the hip mentality and teh randomness of it great. I found I got more really good shots then shooting with a regular camera. Since I wasn't worried about compistion, lady luck gave me more dynamic intersting shots. This camera is obviously not not for precision photography, or for those obsessed with subject, you can pretty much point it in the general direction of something intersting and get a great shot.

We've had a lomo for 3 years now.
second lomo.
incredible camera
I am not the photographer, my ex is.
he loved it.
I gave it as a gift.
it's possibilities are endless.

it's great. and the pictures should be amazing, let us know what you get from it...

I don't know, I'd just not want to waste three other pics just to get the one I did want. So defenitely not a good "main camera", dunno about the price, but I doubt I'd chuck in anything over $40-$50 on it for what it offers.

No need for special developing or film, youd don't even waste shots. It divides a single 35mm frame into 4 paneramic shots. So when you get the pictures back each 4x5 is devided into 4 barxh along the long edge. I'll scan some of the pics from the butterfly conservatory and post em. I keep forgeting them at home,.

I've posted two Lomo pic in my photos under a Lomo around the Glen album. Unfortunatly they're not climbing related as it was too dark down in the glen to get a decent photo on the lomo. This may help explaine how the Camera works.
You'll see each picture is devided into four sections, each one a half second apart. There's also a setting for 4 picture over 0.2 seconds if you want to shoot something really fast.

Lomo is more a matter of attitude than anything. The lens in the camera are really great, and the general idea is just to shoot whatever comes in front of you, without thinking much... follow the link above...
