So today i was really feeling it on the slackline... I love to walk a loose line but latley i have been walking a fairly tight line so i can jupm at one of the ancors.. So heres the ticks.... on the line, i do a knee drop but put my(droped) knee way backwards, so the back off my foot is one the line, so once i am as far as i can strech, then i put one hand on the line,,,, and take my other leg ( the one that isnt streched out) and strech it out backward so your feet are next to each other, then (breath) i put my other hand on the line(so both hands are on the line) and slowly drop down so my chest is on the line,,,,,,, then do a pedulum type manuver(cant spell) and lay down on my back,, then cross the feet and put both hands behind your head,, and then,,,if you want to spice things up,,,,,,, sit up, cross your legs, and put hands in praying position,,,,,,,,, BAM!!,, another notch,,,,,!! EMERAL is the bomb .... so what is everyones :idea:s

In reply to: and slowly drop down so my chest is on the line,,,,,,, then do a pedulum type manuver(cant spell) and lay down on my back Wouldn't that little pendulum maneuver put the line right between your legs as you roll onto your back? Ouch! You should definitely take a video of it. Sounds pretty cool.

I'm pretty happy when I get a slackline set up. :) But one time.. ...I fell on my face instead of breaking an ankle! That was sweet!

Laying down on the line is one thing I need to get down. Haven't been able to do that just yet.

laying on your back isnt the hard part. the hard part is lowering down onto your back... and then you just have to think still thoughts, same with the praying sit, still and steady...

That's what I do just before doing a frontflip 180 dismount...... unless I'm missing what you're trying to describe. Got a picture?

Ahh, sorry, no I meant just turning sideways on the line, guess I was thrown off cause I didn't know what the hero stance meant . I'll have to try that one-foot stance. Hands clasped is always just a tad more difficult.

How do you do the flip dismount?? I've heard of people doing backflip and now frontflip dismounts but I just can't imagine how you could do it without just faceplanting because when you jump off the line would swing backwards! I used to be a gymnast so I know I could do it if I just knew exactly how

In reply to: the line would swing backwards! although i have yet to flip dimount. BUt when jumping off the line the line only swings backwards if you push the line backwards, and when getting air born i dont think the line really 'swings' much at all. the frontflip seems totally duable for me ,,,, its just that whole breaking in period im afraid of, you know, all those unfriendly falls that are included with learning something new,, i like my neck unbroken...:tinfoilhat:

[quote="coldclimb"]In reply to: I'm waiting to get a line over water before I psych up for a backflip though. I'm convinced that the backflip is easier than the front. A front flip is a blind landing and can be pretty rough on the knees. With a backflip you can spot your landing half way through the flip. You can also get someone to spot you on your first attempts. It may at least give you a little more peace of mind.

I can do one with my eyes shut and my hands in my pockets on a trampoline (seriously) but trying it on the ground is a bit tougher. That's why my favorite is a frontflip 180, where I can spot the landing throughout the whole flip.
