I feel if someone sends a route with pre-placed gear, its basically a sport climb. if others don't agree thats cool but i think placing the gear is really what makes a good piece of the grade if you pinkpoint a 13c maybe it should be 13a for a pinkpoint? i'm not saying thats the way it should be im just curious to see if anybody feels the same way. have fun and go climb. Pinkpoint is about the stupidest term that any roped climber ever invented. It is merely an ego-stroker and designed to tear other climbers down. Pinkpoint should be wholly erased from the lexicon of climbing. Either you do the moves or you fall...

Pinkpointing is when you rap down and preplace all the trad gear and then clip as you go.

ya, or sport gear. But it's not used anymore in sport climbing. dont get into this debate again, cuz then youd have to say to redpoint you would have to re-drill everybolt on lead everytime you tryed!
