hey... I'm looking for a partner/ buddies to climb with. I've been climbing since last summer but.... indoors only. But I'm sooooooooooooooo craving to play outdoors. Anyone interested in climbing/ bouldering with me??

I'm in Vancouver now, drinking coffee and killing time, so I'm trying to drum up some crack, you climbers know where I can get some... Have until May 16th, then I have a little detox program starting called "work". I'm fully equipped for adventure, whatever whenever, you just have to call. 403-762-7654

Heya,
A mate and I are thinking of heading up Saturday or Sunday. We lack vehicle, extensive equipment, etc. We make up by having a rope, and loads of enthusiasm. ;-) (I have rope, partial rack.)
I've done a spot of trad, sport. Mostly boulder and TR. (No crash pad at the moment)
Any takers?
Actually, now that I think of it, Friday (may 6th) evening might be a good time as well...

Hey.... don't think friday will work for me.... what about thursday?? I'm not a big fan of weekends cuz it gets seriously busy. Now, I've got a vehicle... just no rope or mat.... :?
But usually, weekdays are good for me..... I live on the north shore.... anyone live close to here????

I'm going to head up this weekend to I reckon, assuming 2 things of course
a-The weather doesn't crap out
b-I get access to the car
Even if I don't get a car I live in Horseshoe bay so perhaps somebody else could pick me up on their way past? Happy to split gas etc. Got lots of gear and ropes. I'm free Sat/Sun/Mon so there should be a window in there.

Well hey, since you have a car Vegan-girl, what about sorting something out for Tuesday or Thursday of next week. (After work like.) I have at least one other mate that'd probably be game for a spot of climbing after hours... The days are somewhat longer...
And Remi, yeah, I haven't been in touch with you in a while... Errr, too friggin disorganised. Yeah, that's it... :-P

Depends on traffic at the Lion's Gate and backups at the Lion's Bay Highway construction. Generally between 45 min and 1 hour Georgia and Burrard to the Grand Wall.

hey I'm totally up for climbing/bouldering on tues/thurs. what time are you thinking?? I live on the north shore so maybe u can come on this side (ie via sea bus)....

How about Tuesday around 6pm near the sea bus terminal on the north shore? (I could probably swing earlier if that is waaay too late.)
Next question, boulder or sport-tr? If bouldering, then perhaps I pick up a pad before then...

there's certainly a lot of us climbers in vancouver....we should start a gang, I'm starting a new job next week where I get off at 4, luxury, 4 hours of sunlight! Do you guys usually boulder at lighthouse park, whytecliff has a few bits and pieces as well.

hey... as long as the weather is good... I"m up for bouldering/ climbing... I'd prefer weekdays... less crowded. 6pm would be too late to climb routes... but I'm up for bouldering locally. I wanna play outside as much as possible.... so who ever wants to get together let me know. yeah... the more the merrier :wink:
But I still wanna head up to squamish a few times during the week. anyone free during the weekdays??

I'm into evening climbing midweek and longer stuff weekends. I have lotsa gear, onsight mid 11.
One of my goals this summer is the grand wall after work :)

I'm still interested in heading out to Cypress Falls park tomorrow evening if anyone is game. (Yes, that means you Sean.) This is all pending no rain, of course. I was aiming to head to North Van ferry terminal around 6pm if I could get a lift from there, failing that, heading up directly to CF via public transit and walking...
