I'd be inclined to use names from norse mythology. I mean honestly, what sounds cooler than the names of norse gods? I'm not sure what I would use it for but I like the name Grungir. Its the magic spear of Odin that never missed it mark. I'm sure there are limitless cool names that could be used from norse mythology.

Oh boring, boring, boring… you people are all so very predictable… Jupiter, Orion, Moon, Air,….. snore…. I don’t want to fall asleep while perusing the harness and shoe collection at my local climbing store… I want something that will grab my attention in a vice-like grip and scream “BUY ME!!!” Now, the question is, what would have that kind of an effect on me? Well…. I think that the most bloody brilliant name of all time is... Feral Racooon (but sorry madrock, that is my name and you can’t have it) So, in lieu of that, I rather like Feral sh*t-flinging howler monkey and Feral Poodle I wait with baited breath for the “Feral-series” to appear at my local climbing store…

At 12 pages, we have probably covered 79% of the conceivable alpha-numeric combinations possible. If this was indeed a true offer, it is probably time to throw the respondants a bone and announce a winner. Otherwise, I will pick a whiner, who will get absolutely nothing and be supremely pissed off about it.. 8^)

how about "THE DIRTBAGGER" for a crash pad that's just big enough to sleep on when unfolded or " THE IPNAR" cause well, its my last name and yeah..... it's better than just another typical word to inspire us to climb harder..... frankly i don't care what the name of the shoe is... but i think it would be awesome to have some IPNAR's on when they are rocking climbs i can't even touch... peterIPNAR
