Yeah, it sure did. Twice. The admins know about it, though, and are taking steps to make sure it never happens again. So far the elusive Mrs. Kady has proven herself a wily foe. But we'll get her. Oh, yes, indeedy we will. When it comes to modding the site, I think the one thing we all agree on is that spam must be killed on sight. killkillkill deathdeathdeath diediedie If you ever get another one, definitely hit the harassment button and report it. That'll ensure that we can at least silence that account for all time.

What's worse than a spammer is a scammer out to cheat folks out of their life savings. I'd like to see Ms. Kady roasted over a flaming pit. (just for awhile) If I had the money, I fund a non-profit that did nothing that reply to scam emails like that, waste their time, try to scam them back, and set them up for arrest and prosecution. Law enforcement doesn't have the time or resources to go after folks like that, which is particularly difficult when some of these crimes happen over international borders. I'd like to get that Ed McMahon too, he sent me a letter promising a multi-million dollar prize and I took my girlfriend out to an expensive dinner to celebrate in advance! Well, not really. My poor girlfriend. Peace karl

Here's what gets me about these scams: "Indications are that Advance Fee Fraud grosses hundreds of millions of dollars annually and the losses are continuing to escalate. In all likelihood, there are victims who do not report their losses to authorities due to either fear or embarrassment." I can't beleive that anyone who can read would EVER fall for these types of scams.

Good news on the scam PM front is that Tim is rejigging the filters to take out these sorts of PMs before they ever come through to the users. Three cheers for Tim for being one clever and sneaky as hell guy.
