The camping/climbing trip I was going on with friends got cancelled due to them all having lives and whatnot. I'm still wanting to go climb and/or camp, etc. If anyone is up for hanging out, I took the weekend off specifically for this trip, and I'm a bit bummed out. I'm willing to travel to just about anywhere in Western North Carolina, possibly even Tennessee - depending on what's going on. Please send a PM or an email to tokitikki@gmail.com. thanks very much!

In reply to: New River Rendez Vous http://www.rockclimbing.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=81072 This is where you need to be!!! Camp at the Rendezvous site or Roger's. You should be able to find a partner either place. To avoid traffic get out of town before 4:30 (as in be north of downtown) or after 6:00. It's a 3 - 3 1/2 hour drive.

I ended up leaving Charlotte at 3:30 on Friday, and got to the Rendezvous at about 7ish - and had the best weekend of my life (thus far). I know for a fact I'll be there next year, and be able to volunteer much sooner. Thanks for the information, guys, and if I met you, I hope we'll be able to keep in touch. Looking forward to climbing with you guys!
