I did my first outdoor lead today, yeeeeeehaaaaa. And redpointed it as well (ok, just a 5.7, but who cares :D ). I just had to share that. Cheers Jun

It only gets more fun from here on out. Getting deeper in the zone and the added adrenaline of knowing you aren't on toprope.. not to mention the excitement of hearing all that metal clanging on your harness. 8^)

ME TOO!!! I led a 5.7 then a 5.9 (that I had climbed on top rope alot..) It was scary but awesome at the same time. :D

I did my first lead at Seismic. At the green belt. I led the route "Over Easy". I think thats what its called.

what does 'redpoint' mean? i've seen it a few times, but can't gleen the definition from context. btw, congrats! that sounds awesome!

Wow, Austin is blowin' up with up and coming climbers (myself included). I just led my first two climbs on the greenbelt, Meet the Flinstones and Schoolboys Indirect (both 5.9) last week and then top roped my first 5.11a, Through the Looking Glass two days ago! Hope to see you guys out there, the Greekbelt rocks (pun intended).
