Anyone from NYC want to go to the Gunks this or any up coming weekends. I'm a newbie just trying to find a partner. I can't afford to keep paying the EMS guys to be my climbing friends.
I have an SUV and will be driving from lower Westchester county. I can pick you up at Fleetwood station.
I have a rope and some basic gear. If you want to do climbs harder than 5.6 I can belay.
Also interested in meeting at the 59th street gym and checking that out.
I'm a single, female, vegetarian, fiscally conservative yet socially liberal, a part time aspiring amateur alcoholic, who is a bit too muscular, owns a ferret, and too many pairs of shoes who loves nature girl, and is polytheistic.

Hey laukaoda,
I am new to NY and fairly new to climbing. I just recently started indoor climbing - done about 12-15 climbs. I am also looking for a partner to climb with. I was thinking of starting of at the GYM on 59th st, before I venture outside. let me know if you are interested, and we can work something out. PM me. btw, I am not quite firm yet on my social and fiscal views but I am open to discussion...

If you're still interested in meeting people to climb with at the gunks, I will be in the area from Aug 3 - 5 and don't have a climbing partner as of yet. I'm a longtime gunks climber and would like to repeat some of the moderate classics (high E, madam g's, etc...) but of course will climb whatever you want as well ( I can lead up to 5.10). I have rope and full rack. Let me know if you want to meet up. Ben
