I've ordered from Mountain Tools http://www.mtntools.com in the U.S.A.. First, the exchange rate on your credit card hits you. Second, the shipping costs for international orders hits you. Third, the customs brokerage charge hits you. I ordered a set of HB Offset nuts and although I love them, they ended up costing twice what you would pay for BD Stoppers at MEC.

Being a Canadian, I suggest 2 things: 1- Drive up North, maybe to Banff, and do some climbing up North. 2-Buy gear in Canada! It seems to be a lot cheaper! -Tammy

Europe Bound in Toronto has gear that is likely the cheapest in Canada. They mark all their stuff 5% lower than MEC. Unfortunately their website sux for finding the stuff you need, but if you can get there (delivery?) it's totally worth it.

go to your local gear shop and get them to order the gear for you if they don't have it.. (MEC doesn't do this)
