Its seems that the first rule of hidden valley is there is no hidden valley. I grew up in Va and have climbed since 1991, never at hidden valley.

Here's the beta, the area is still closed to climbing untill further notice. The land owner was pretty pissed when he shut it down, so i wouldn't hold my breath.

So, In reply to the request for information on climbing in Hidden Valley Virginia...I have been climbing in Hidden Valley for many years. The guy that own's the climbing area is named KOMA.. KOMA.. is an avid climber that moved to virginia about 10 years ago and bought the land and rock on the land. He spent the first 5 years workin on the HIDDEN VALLEY project from his tent. KOMA has put alot of effort and time into this project making multiple trails, sign in boxes, parking lots, camping areas, and much more.. Yes, there are over 200+ routes there ranging from 5.7 to 5.13d mostly all sport with some trad and some mixed routes. Climbing is great there, there are multiple roof's, crack's, and a shit load of technical face climbs. The Hidden Valley area was open for the first 7 or 8 years to climber's all over..there have been hundred's of visitors from all over the United States and Europe climb there. Recently, Koma closed the VALLEY for personal reasons and had the area only open to his close friends and climbing buddies. That has recently changed too. HIDDEN VALLEY is closed until further notice from KOMA! there were a group of people that had descrated his shrines, ignored the rules posted, and done some damage to the area. So, I hope this answers your questions on why no one right now is allowed to climb. There are talks of re-opening the VALLEY in the future but as of today it isn't. It is private property owned by KOMA and if there are climber's there he will prosicute on tresspassing. I hope one day everyone will get to experience what I have experienced at HIDDEN VALLEY one day, but right now its just a wait and see game. thanks, ZIMMAZILLA
