I just searched for any news on Halfway Dump bouldering. The last I found was from 2004. I'm guessing that there is no change in the access for this area, IE. it is still closed. I didn't see anything on the access commitee though.

Also on another note, I visited the area last year and there was no sign on the bouldering ban that I could see. (I was reminded of this by the Nemo thread that noted there are no obvious warning signs.)

Finally, while boulding is banned, what about trad? There are a few routes in the guidebook along the cliff face. Are these still open?

the bouldering ban is still in effect. if you read the gripped bulletin board there's a thread about it. there was a lil green sign on the notice board that said no bouldering but it has since dissapeared. route climbing is still fair game so long as you are climbing on established routes.
