This is a spin off of the strangest place you ever climbed post. What is the strangest thang you ever rapped off of? I got my merit badges for the following: -A dormroom window -A campus building which name is "Tower". -G.

Best rap... Has to be from the rafters of the steeple of a church - right into the sanctuary. They were holding a retreat for teens with an "Outdoors" theme and asked us to rappel from the rafters right onto the pulpit. Now THAT'S a wild rap!! Mick

After I saw that there were a few bolts (for hauling hurt skaters) ontop of the 30 foot full pipe! Next time I went down there I brought my rope. I could make pretty good money that way, some guys said they would give me a buck if I let them try...I just let them do it for free (I figure if I charged money and somthing went wrong I could get sued or somthing) that was pretty cool.

A radio tower, water tower, a huge smoke stack, buildings, a railroad bridge, and dams and spillways. All of this was years ago when I was a "rapper" and not a climber. Ahhh, life is much more fulfilling now.

Several places on an 8 story parking structure in downtown Kalamazoo, including one side where it's only a 5' wide gap to the next building. From the roof of Sprau Tower on campus at WMU. Highway overpasses down into the median on i-94, US-131, and I-96. Down the sheer brick face of a 7 story building in Grand Rapids (344 Ionia). From a train bridge down onto a pile of floating trees and other debri so that we could climb up the bridge from the water level (LOTS OF SPIDERS! ARGH!). Down into old empty tile-lined storage tanks in an abandoned paper mill on a UET. Down into a grain silo, and down the outside of the same silo. From a construction crane (my first open-air rap), very fun, and scarey. Lots to rap from here, not much to climb. Duck

When I first started climbing, I had never rapped before, so, for practice, I climbed a ladder on the wall inside an aircraft hangar at work and rapped from the ceiling about 20 times. It's only about 35 feet, but hey, I had to practice somewhere before I did it outside and had to lean back in space untill tension came on the rope. duskerhu

Newton's Law scares me a little. Going up is one thing, but hanging over the void is another. Stranges thing I have ever rapped off had to be a tree. Steve
