Wow :shock: That sucks man, sorry about that. Any idea what might have motivated them to do something like that? You were bolting a new route, you were climbing the route they had come to climb, you were sport climbing, or your rack was huge and they were jealous? We use to do dickie stuff for fun to people when I grew up in Utah valley, but nothing like that, slashing tires, that's not funny at all. To bad you didn't catch them doing it and then you could've smacked them with a slung hex or a large cam.

Sorry, hope you find out who did that.

man, that sucks eric, i'm really sorry to hear that. makes me angry to think someone would do that, especially someone who was (theoretically) up enjoying nature! pssssh!! whatever, i know revenge is awful, but i want you to get them back somehow!

I'm really sorry to hear that. I do know that a lot of kids hang out there late at night, smoking dope and what not. So I'm sure it was just a random act. Not that it makes it any better, but I'm sure they weren't attacking you personally. Hopefully this was an isolated event and not something we'll all have to start dealing with.

I don't think it is an isolated incident. I've seen broken glass (from broken windows) in the parking lot several times.
