I'm looking for people to climb with - sport into the 10s/11s, trad a notch lower. I'm thinking the canyons, City of Rocks, maybe some weekend trips to the Uintas, throw in some alpine as well. Strictly evenings and weekends around the day job at the moment...Anyone want to get out and play ?

If you wanna come up to Logan I'll show ya around the canyon. There are some cool places (in both meanings of the word).

I live in Utah County, but work in South Jordan. I am climbing around the same level as you in both trad and sport, so if the time is right i wouldn't mind doing some climbing. I have 5 days off every other weekend, so we should be able to find some time. I also have a decent rack, so we could hit up a fair amount of the easier trad up the canyons.

I will be passing through utah, heading to Moab today and SLC later in the week, on my way to the Pacific NW. Would love to climb a day or 2, I lead easy sport, but am more than happy to follow trad or sport up to 5.10.

Yeah, but was that 6 am :) ? I keep trying to get up early, but I'm seriously on the night owl these days...

I'm thinking sunday we should all go to the industrial wall/pentapitch and hang out. Everyone's invited, the more the merrier, etc. 9 am ? 10 ish ?

Yeah, but you can climb hard slabs right now too. Did Paranoia Streak today. It was 60 degrees and perfect this morning. Even the Industrial wall can't beat that in the summer.... I'm psyched for the fall - when it really cools down.

HEre's another call for partners:

I'm recently moved here as well, and interested in climbing with some other people, especially those who know the area better than I.

I lead 5's comfortably on gear, and maybe 7's on bolts - but eager to follow harder!

Also, anybody want to help me learn to aid climb?

pm me.

Just so you all don't have to go out and look up Tenesmus like I did, I've added the definition here:

te·nes·mus ( P ) Pronunciation Key (t-nzms)
n.
A painfully urgent but ineffectual attempt to urinate or defecate.

And I have to agree, that is a GREAT user ID.

Also, I also live in Salt Lake, and I also would like more people to climb with. Sport/Trad/Boulder, I'm up for it all. I'll follow anything, I can lead 11's Sport, I've only lead Trad twice but I'd feel comfortable leading up to 8's or 9's, and I know my way around LCC fairly well for good bouldering.

I'm available after 2:30 PM M-F, and I'm available during the weekends mostly, unless I'm out of town.

Usually this is what I feel before a runnout slab lead or before running a hard rapid. Not always ineffectual.

just in case you were wondering.

Decided not to run out of town this weekend. I plan to be out on rocks in the cottonwoods or Uintas this weekend. Doing mostly sport through 5.10, drop me a pm if you want to play.
