I'm not going to critique your art cause I don't know squat. But I liked the layout of the site, especially the little tiles in the painting/portrait/drawing sections that shift and show you the whole picture when you drag the cursor over it. I think you should consider keeping the same sidebar navigation tool throughout the whole site.

Hope this helps you out.

Agreed. I also liked the look and feel of the website...I have only one small suggestion. IMHO, the nav bar on the side should, if at all possible, stay in the same place, and in the same order, on every page. It gives a sense of continuity to the site, and allows users to navigate through in a logical manner. More user-friendly. Unless of course, that's not the point....*sigh*...artistes....

Eventually, I would also suggest perhaps a "so-what?" page at the intro of the site. Who is this guy and why do we care about him? Is he trying to sell his art, or just exhibit it? What's the point of the website?

Other than that, I found it a pleasant and easy-to-use website. Good job! :righton:

A few things -

The text on the bio page, he last portion of the line ("University of Albany") is partially obscured by the row of images below it.

On the links page, the list of links overlaps with the navigation menu below.

On the links page (and anywhere else) - PLEASE don't use javascript to launch a new window... It makes browsing the site hard, if you're using a non-JS-capable browser, and the whole "maybe they'll stay on my site longer" thing doesn't hold water. If your site is interesting enough to keep people there, good - if it's not, let them go.. Don't make it harder for them to leave. :)

Holay sheet. Your site is fantastic and your art is even better. I love Last Hope and A Stymied Bastard.
