I think a shoe forum needs to be created.

Lately, I see a shoe topic at least once a day. Best shoe this, best shoe that. Beginner shoe. Advance shoe. Are the Pyros any good? Is this shoe any good?

Oh well, like I tell everyone else, If you don't like the topic don't read. I will listen to my own advice.

What about a stick clip forum.

How about a stick clipping forum while we're at it? Or perhaps a forum dedicated to blue webbing?

Yes, there are lots of new forums we need, such as:

The I'm-A-Beginner-Which-Shoes-Should-I-Buy Forum

The Gri-Gri's-Suck-Use-An-ATC Forum

The I-Can't-Climb-5.8-What-Strength-Exercises-Can-I-Do Forum

and, finally...

The I-Can't-Write-A-Meaningful-Subject-Line-But-I-Want-You-To-Read-My-Message-Anyway Forum

I agree with the two previous.
Two problems though.

#1 The search function rarely works. (Although in the case of shoe posts, its not hard to find the answers by browsing, but this leads to #2)

#2 Most of the users who are posting shoe questions haven't been around long enough to get the drift of how things work.

Solve these riddles we must, for the darkside may strike upon us at any time.

Gear review forum in addition to the gear forum the gear forum is more torward the use and application of the gear while the review will compose of the total satisfaction/experience that one has/d with the gear

Personally, I would like to second the notions of all who have requested a Slacklining forum. I think that this would be a great idea. I feel that as a rock climbing website, we have covered all topics necessary to fulfil a users needs [and enough to certainly entertain them]. However I feel that the one aspect we are lacking, is a Slacklining forum.

We could call it: The "Ask Dr. Ammon" Slacklining Forum.

P.S. I'm dead serious.

The whole "ask dr..." deal is played over and lame.

What part of Trevor's responses about an individual's forum did you fail to comprehend?

Let me get this straight, Jeremy. Ditch forums that have something to do with climbing and add forums that have NOTHING to do with climbing? Hmmm... There is a forum here for all that is not climbing related...Community.
BTW, If it wasn't for climbing history, climbing wouldn't be what it is today.

I agree that we don't need an individuals forum but a slacklining forum or a place to at least keep track of the questions would be good.
I have answered slacklining questions in community, general, and I believe, the gear heads forums.
And since Ammon is busy climbing in far flung places, and flinging himself from trees in not so far ones, I doubt he would have the kind of time to devote to "his" forum that Pete does.

Besides as I have pointed out in almost every thread I have responded to about slacklining, this has all been covered very well by the nice people at slackline.com just go see for yourselves.

Jeff

P.S. Munchie what do you need to know about slacklining? I'm no Ammon or Dr. P but I do have this slacklining thing pretty well figured out.

I'm not saying that Climbing History isn't important...my point is that I can guarantee that a slacklining forum would have more posts/topics then the Climbing History forum. How many people have actually gone into the climbing history forum?

Lets list the possible topics of a slacklining forum.

1) How to set one up.
2) Where you did it at.
3) How was it?

Yeah, that's a whole lot.

Climbing History has 47 topics right now. So far slacklining has 4 (theoretical) topics.
