PM Dr. Piton (passthepitonspete, if you don't know).

He knows of a guy that wrote a dandy little book. Otherwise, I'd say check out stuff from John Long.

While a lot of the tactics in Chongo's book can be taken for better or worse (so I'm told because I have read it but not climbed any walls making me a theorist), it is the most informative book on wall climbing to date.

If you are very interested in wall/aid climbing it's on the required reading list, if you can find the damn thing. This usually requires a trip to Yosemite.

All of the other books you will read are not nearly informative enough and will leave you feeling used. Mike Corbett's and John Long's book both describe aid climbing but anyone with some common sense will read them and go "Duh, I thought you were going to tell me something I didn't know."

For an introduction for beginners, I recommend Green Gear's Video Guide to Aid Climbing. Its not cutting edge, but it is a good demonstration of the basics with very few errors. Personally, I am not ashamed to admit that when I first wanted to learn to aid climb, I watched this video at least 3 times.

Hans Florine just published a great book on the ways of speed climbing big walls, we may not all be in as much of a hurry but we all want to be better and this is a good way to be better!

Chongo, as of early June, said that he didn't make any money off the wall book. He said that he might sell separate chapters, but probably will not be selling the entire wall book anymore. Apparently, he clinched some sort of deal for his physics book, and wants to devote his time to that.
