When you put Metolius Climbing Tape on your finger tips, does it help the grip for climbing? Please let me know everything about this tape. Before I buy the tape. Someone told me about this tape.

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....................... good thing you should ask. I can't tell you how many times I've been unable to bust out phatty gnar-gnar crimpers due to inferior tape brands adorning my finger tips. The fact that the tip came from a friend makes it all the more dangerous.
Seriously............. it's tape!!! Think of it as a $2 investment. Also, please don't put it on your fingertips unless they are about to fall off.

The tape isn't designed to improve grip on your fingertips. It has 2 primary uses:
1) taping the fingers to prevent tendon injury
2) taping the fingers/hand to prevent abrasion on gritty rock like sandstone
You'll likely find your grip much worse with tape on your tips.

just go to your drugstore or supermarket 1st aid section and get athletic tape. Its cheaper

ditto that. its less sticky than skin and it really destroys the feeling for those tiny holds.

What brand makes Metolius tape? Are we sure that metolius tape is the same as AMERICA brand? Where can you get AMERICA brand tape?

Pretty sure it's AMERICA brand tape, but if you want to double check, just go to the local climbing shop, pick up the roll of Metolius tape, and look at the inside of the cardboard tube that the tape is wrapped around, the brand is printed there.
As far as where to get it, just go to any sporting goods store.
