Check out: www.verticalillusions.com, or www.verticalillusions.net.. We just opened it up about 2 months ago. We are also a One Percent For The Planet Shop too; so you know your money is going to something great. Give us a call!

I've had great luck with www.gearexpress.com. Be sure to check out their blowouts section. Black diamond makes a great key-nose locking biner for just over $10, and their momentum harness package makes for a cheap initial investment. Just make sure if you do that, you get the one with the adjustable leg loops. buying blems or cosmetic seconds is a great way to save cash on rock climbing gear. If your order is over $50, you can get free shipping.

Man, I wish I had discovered climbing when I was 14!

Have fun, be safe, and good luck.

Oh, also, you can get an edelweiss axis 10.3x60m dry rope there for $120 which is a steal for a dry rope. Make sure to also check out their package deals!

Dude don't buy a "package", piece by piece is the way to go. Build your gear from the ground up, getting what you need, when you need it and not buying a lot of extra crap that gets dusty, see what i mean?

i guess you still live with parents, wish i did. now, since i'm a broke college student, i must only spend a little here a little there. THus, for me, it works to buy a couple of cams, or maybe 5 or so at a time. throwing down more than 300 bucks on gear all at once....gets expensive
