Looking for a website or store selling the old style # 1 Camalot. Lost mine and want the full rack back. If I buy one C4 I'm going to have to buy them all and I don't want to go down that road. Thanks for any help.

The #1 was the first old Camalot to sell out everywhere I looked. I actually found mine.

If you buy one C4 would you "have" to buy all of them??? The C4 #1 is very close to the older single stem #1.

If you lost an older 3.5 I could see your problem, but this isn't the case.

just go with the new one....its lighter, better range and over all better cam...

BUT!!!! the older one if you can find it will prob be cheaper...there's no reason to have to 'match' your rack in styles....

In reply to:
There are actually 4 1/2 generations of Camalots.
Which "old style" are you looking for.

C1 (double stem with 3 piece plastic wire cover)

C2 (double stem with molded sinlge piece plastic wire cover)

C3 (single stem without the trigger stop)

C3.5 (single stem with trigger stop)

C4 (newest single stem version)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe that BD was referring to "Generation 4 Camalot" when they named it C4.

The reason I think that is because the prototype 3-cam Camalots are being called C3...

I think Asandh was just trying to illustrate the different generations of camalots, not explain the ne wname......

to the OP I have one word: Ebay! I have at least 3, maybe 4 cams on my rack form ebay. last one was a u-stem .75 ( a "C2" I believe) for 25.00 including shipping. Okay eveyone, start busting my @$$ for promoting the purchase of  used  gear............

the C4's in sizes .5-3 are the same range as the old style BD cams. they only changed the range of the biggest sizes, 4-6.
