I love to climb in Eldo and I was noticing that more and more fixed anchors (chockstones, trees, etc) are being replace with rap bolts. I strongly support this because I have seen the damage that a chain around a tree can do (route called Mescaline). It has also simplified the anchors where before there were a dozen slings (half were rotting) and now it is simpler, safer and more aesthetic. I guess I would like hear someone to support or counter the replacement of these anchors. (btw Eldo has a Fixed Hardware Review Committee that deals with fixed pro like this - bolting by the public is unlawful)
