I was planning on going to the New. If there is no gas when I get there, I won't make it home. I'm coming from PA and watching the news about the lack of gas in the south. The town of Fayetteville has only so many gas stations. I was talking to my dentist and he said, "His family in Charleston, WV couldn't get gas." If anyone has knowledge on the gas situation at New, please post it.

i don't think the OP was asking if there are any gas stations there... more along the lines of "is there any gas AT these gas stations?" and i'm wondering the same thing myself. any help from anyone who's there now?

Just got off the blower with Maura Kistler. Word on the street is that Fayetteville has plenty of gas.

I've been hearing more and more rumors of gas shortages and gas outages, as best i can remember, Wednesday night while watching the WV news from Huntington/Charleston (FYI - I live in Athens, OH) they were saying that a few stations across the state have not received resupply shipments and were running low or even out. A couple of the County/City governments were even running low. Here is a link to the NBC station in the Huntington/Charleston area, might be able to find a related news story http://www.wsaz.com/ and i found this site by doing a quick google search for gas prices in WV, i haven't found where they are listing any outages but keep checking i guess... http://www.westvirginiagasprices.com/index.aspx personally i picked up a couple extra gallons just in case. You can call me paranoid, but just don't call and ask me for my gas.

Are you guys actually serious? You're aware that the New is farther fom NO than, say, Indianapolis, and it's only about 50 miles closer than Chicago (or Hueco)

I haven't heard of any shortages in the mid-atlantic, but bring a lot of extra gas money... The prices are really going up. Wednesday, I paid $2.69/gal for regular unleaded at the little independent gas station I usually fill up at. Yesterday, regular was $2.99/gal Today, it's $3.49/gal... name-brand stations are up in the $3.60's for regular, and pushing $4.00 for premium. ...on the positive side, the worst thing that could happen to you is that you get stuck at NRG.

I heard east of Fayetteville, plenty of gas around $3.30 a gallon, regular. And, I like Biscuit World. I have only had the biscuit sandwiches. Not the type of Bacon egg and cheese you could eat everyday and still get up say 5.8's, but damn good! SO--don't knock it until you try it!

Gas stations as far away as Wisconsin are experiencing the same thing, not due to severed pipelines, but because people have been trying to get fuel before prices go even higher. But that's beside the point. It doesn't make much sense to head off on a road trip on a three day weekend while US gas prices are their highest ever (and while gas is scarcer than at any point since the 70s) without checking on availablility first. Hell, it doesn't make much sense to go road tripping at all, but I'm doing it anyway. Feel free to roll your eyes at that. :P

The nationwide "everybody freak out and fill up right now" shortages will come to an end soon, as there are only so many gas tanks out there. My point was that living in PA and thinking that fuel supplies are messed up in WV because it's in "the south" is silly. I'm moving from DC to Chicago this weekend, so I feel the pain. Only paid $2.55 for B20 diesel at the pentagon pump this morning, though. E-85 is only 2.68 there if your car can handle it. Check here: http://www.e85fuel.com/e85101/flexfuelvehicles.php

Ironically, I know more people who have used the Tudor's bathroom, than people who have actually eaten their food. Maybe that's why I have never used that bathroom! Give the bisuits a try--they really are good!
