I just moved from Southern California and am looking for a climbing group or club to hook up with in the area. Can anyone enlighten me to local scene? I promise not to bite, spray, or climb irresponsibly.

well, winter is coming up, so i'll be trapped climbing indoors at the quarry quite a bit. The Quarry is a great place to meet people during winter. While it's still warm (or climbably warm) i'll usually be up AF or Rock Canyon. Occasionally Little Cottonwood. If you're around, send me a PM or email and i'll se if i'm able to get up that day.

In reply to: You could go to Mountainworks in Provo. There is a climbing club based out of there I beleive. Yeah, it's called the Utah Climbing Club or something like that. You pay a yearly fee (I don't know how much it is--several of my partners are members but I'm not) and the club goes on trips once a month to various places around Utah. So far they've been to Little Cottonwood, the Uintas, Indian Creek, etc. I believe this month they're going to Zion to learn how to aid climb? Ice climbing will happen when it gets cold. Members also get discounts on gear at Mountainworks. Hope this helps. -Tristan
