Seeing people where spandex, costumes or nothing at all can be a little humorous. But when I see people wearing Umbros shorts, a line must be drawn.

Those things are a little too short for grown men to be wearing with a harness! No need to catch a glimpse of something that wasn't meant to be seen at that particular moment.

A guy who shall remain nameless (regional climbing legend) came into Inner Peaks a few times wearing those little jogging shorts. It was NOT pretty.

I love going to the posh gym in here in Anchorage in my off-brand dungarees and the rattiest T-shirt I've got. I like to roll my jeans up halfway to the knee Huck Finn style just for kicks.

Really though, most of the people I've seen that are climbing hard match their feet, not their clothing. So, I'll just keep climbing in my jeans, unless someone wants to buy me some Carharts.

This is just something I was thinking about ,kinda goofy, but have you ever seen someone wear krap that they should have left at home?

I'm really really really curious about what you mean by krap.

Climbing in Italy this June we met a climber who looked 50 - 60 years old, overweight. he was climbing wearing just tight speedos and an all over tan.

At one point in time I was planning on going out climbing wearing a clown suit. I would have painted my face, worn the funky wig and the outfit. Perhaps I would have even made balloon animals while sitting at belay stations. The only problem would be the big red shoes. I guess I have a pair of Mythos that stretched too much and they look like freakin' boats on my feet.
