TRing is not encouraged at Bboro due to loose stuff. Also, while TRing is possible, it's slightly dangerous (bolted anchors are set well below the cliffline). If you're looking afor a place to TR in PA I would go to Ralph Stover. K.

If you're looking afor a place to TR in PA I would go to Ralph Stover. Stover is my "local" crag -- one I always thought had a lot of loose stuff. And I'm to assume Birdsboro is worse?

Birdsboro is very loose on the top. The chains are typically well below the top of the cliff line. TRing at Birdsboro is highly discouraged. That being said, there are several leads that are 5.8 and below. Further, you can climb some of the easier lines, traverse and set up harder climbs. Finally, there are always folks out at birdsboro who would be willing to put up a line for you. Just ask! Gail

Looks like I at least wont be climbing this weekend. My necks in pretty bad shape and I'm going to give a rest on the physical stuff. I can try and send you a PM next time we head out though. K.

NOOOOOOO! :P Looks like the weekend is a wash, anyway. Feel better soon. T
