The 3rd So iLL Showdown is about to take place Nov. 12th and it is seriously going to be off the charts. The comp will go down during the day and the after party will rage through the night. The comp is taking place at the So iLL Inc. training facility/product testing wall. It is one of the sweetest home walls, hands down. There are several top climbers competing this year, so even if you are not going to compete, you should still come out and watch. Dave and I have rented out a art gallery/recording studio in the downtown district of Carterville, IL. This is only is only a few miles from the comp. The place holds approx 200 people. Jason Kehl will kick off the after-party with his slideshow. If you haven't seen one of these, you are missing out. After Mr. Kehl and between bands, there will be a DJ spinning Reggae. Three bands will play with LOJIC headlining. This is the band that does all the tunes on the so ill site. I want to make them feel welcome because they are driving 8 hours from their last tour stop to make it that day. Skuf, a killer local band, and my band Mid August Night will be performing as well. Drinks are included with the price of admission. Brews for the adults and a soda fountain for the youngsters. The after party is going to be sick, so even if you are just coming to hang out and not climb in the comp, you will have a good time. link to flyer ... http://www.network26.com/email/new_mail_temp/thursdayclimb/images/Siflier.jpg for those of u in Illy this time of yr, enjoy

The link is fine, but I had to remove the line break character from my copy/paste - try that. If I didn't want to compete, but just watch and to the after party, how much does it cost? And what is abs? ----nevermind the abs question, I found out about it via search.

My wife and I will be there, but really just to climb at J-falls, and join in the evening festivities... We're planning to head up that way around noon on Friday, when she get's off work. Anyone wanting to tie in together Friday afternoon or Saturday at the Falls, please let me know. Also, we'll be pitching a tent there, so plan to join us! :) Tim

I will be running around there as well. Not sure what time I'll arrive on Friday (as usual, my work will dictate. Well, actually, my work dictates that I not go at all, but Meh!). I want to climb at the falls. Who else will be running around? This should be a blast! Crimpie

thing is ive already thrown down $25 which takes care of a whole backpacking trip up at Pisgah Natl. Forest, thing is though they told me "we" would be leading a couple climbs up there but when i asked last, the folks renigged and said we where just going b-packing... so i can get a 6 hr ride up to NC for 25 bucks but then theres getting to Illy, and i dont particpaite per say in comps neways, im just in climbing for the fun of it but id still like to check the scene out up there and maybe talk to the peeps at so ill

We just found out that my wife can't get off work that weekend, so I'll probably be there early Friday, and I'll be needing a partner!
