I have the option of going to Mexico to watch the Baja 1000 and ride around on dirt bikes and buggys. I could also spend the weekend camping in Josh. So my question is, should I go to Mex for Moto madness and no climbing, or Jtree for all climbing all the time?

Well, there is a wee bit of climbing on Trono Blanco. And if dude isn't particularly attached to his vehicle or other possessions it could work out very well. My sister and her boyfriend used to roadtrip to Baja California on a regular basis. Her boyfriend's cousin (or some other distant relation) had a dedicated vehicle for trips to Mexico, the worst beater you ever saw in your life. No one was willing to risk having their car get ripped off while waiting for a set at Todos Santos, so they'd all pile into the Chick Magnet and sputter down the 5. Presumably, if the OP is a motocross fan, he's got access to such a vehicle.

We can't live your life for you. Making your own decisions is a big part of growing up. :)
