A couple of us are trying to plan a little trip, and can't decide between the three. We've only been to Red Rocks, and would appreciate any advise from anyone who has been to the others. Mostly, we're interested in multi-pitch routes in the 5.7 or 5.8 range.

Any suggestions???

Red Rocks is gonna have the most to choose from. As far as multi ptich 7and 8's.

But Cochise has some fun 5.8's like Wasteland or Moby Dick.

JT is very limited if multi pitch is what you want.

Since you have been to Red Rocks you might want to try one of the other two.

Have fun and climb safe..

Red Rocks would be my first choice for the type of climbing you are looking for. There is a lot to choose from in the 5.7-5.8 range.

Cochise will probably be a little less crowded, but it also is an awsome place to climb. I have only been there 3-4 times but I really enjoyed the climbing.

Depending on timing and transportation, you might be able to do both Red Rocks and J Tree. Also, dont forget about Tahquitz and Suicide, only a little over an hour from J Tree.

Both Red Rocks & Josh have nearly a lifetime of routes, and I will continue to go to both, but my wife and I are going to Cochise this winter. I am totally Psyched about a visit there. We might run up Babo while we are out there. I just want to see the place.

Check out Cochise. The place looks awesome and will be less crowded.
