I've been climbing hard for about 6 months and have seen my tech and strength increase in leaps and bounds. My route difficulty has followed a similar pattern. But I'm getting to a plateau in my climbing because my body tension sucks. Overhangs and cielings are fine as long as I can power through them but to do it with any form of finese I need the body tension. Does anyone have any special training tech's that will help. Bouldering is helping a bit but looking for any other idea's. PS- Not to steal anyones thunder but speed in accomplishing this goal is not a factor, fast or slow, I'm just looking to improve. Yep, and don't forget to use your REI Card for that extra discount. Seriously work your abs ALOT. Not just upper abs either. Also find a 45 degree angle wall sit start make one hand move and cut your feet (control you swing with your abs), put feet back on, make another hand move cut your feet. Repeat. Do for one minute with a three minute break. 5 sets. Use good hand holds to start.

Hi- Try working out using a roman chair doing back extensions, side extensions and crunches. Doing leg raises and crunches on slant board will help out too. Hope that helps. Deirdre
