I did a search and came up with nadda... whats the use for the top hole in BD peckers?.... its only one #2 and #3... for funking? (too small to get a biner in there though)....

Tie-off hole for use when the pecker is placed in a more or less horizontal crack.

Also, if you don't want to purely funk this piece out, which puts some strange forces on it, you can place the pick end of your hammer in the hole and lever the piece against the rock. This can be a good way to loosen these pieces. Not the intended use, of course. -Kate.
