Does anyone know or have Bufo climbing shoes? ( www.rockshoes.com ). I haven't tested them myself and I don't know anybody who wears them, but they look good, they are cheap and they get good critics.

We have a pair of Bufo rentals at the gym I work at and they seem bomber. I know a girl who would use them every time she came in and liked them so much she went out and got a pair. She said they kind of dug into her achilles tendon, and upon contacting Bufo about it, they said they were trying to correct that (she also said they have a good return policy). Definitely try them on first, but if they fit, I am pretty sure they will be a good shoe. Cheap too. M@

I have a pair of Spiders... not bad. I prefer 5.10 shoes but yes the Bufo shoes are good value for money.

i only ever used gym bufo's (on those days i made an unplanned scurry over at lunch without shoes), and i was NOT a fan. they were solid, but i thought too solid almost stiff for as old and beat up as they looked, and i didn't particularly like the rand design/feel (hard to explain). generally i felt like they just didn't have the mobility and ease of movement i like in shoes. however, the problem with my critique (in fairness) is that they were GYM shoes, so they may not have been representative of what the company is capable of.

I just received a rental fleet of Unbreakables about two weeks ago for my university's outing club. Initial thoughts: Ridiculously burly. They're going to last a long, long time. Very stiff. Great for beginner climbers or for long easy multi-pitch Only one pull loop in the back for putting shoe on Conclusion: Unbreakables are fantastic for rental fleets, probably not the best decision for individual purchase.

i have been wearing weapons since 2002. i think they are a great shoe. never had a problem and they remind me of my boreal stingers. i have a pair of bufo v-machines as well; i found them very tight fitting at first, and almost took them back for a larger size but over time they have formed to my foot and are perfect now. they are cheap shoes, but only in price.

My university outing program also has these shoes, and having tested them in both gym and outside, my feelings are that a pair of something else would be so much better. The last feels good, but the rubber was terrible by comparison to even the worst shoes I've tried. Having climbed in evolv's, five tens, montrails, red chillis, sportivas, and mad rocks I would say that if Your foot can fit one of the evolv models, that would likely be the best bang for your buck for both durability and longgevity. Either way let good fit be your best guide.

i have the bufo weapons. yes they are cheap in price, but the performance is quite good, as long as they fit you. they are quite soft, so you have to like soft shoes, and their rubber is very sticky, but stil quite abrasion resistant. the build quality is nothing very special, but not bad either. they arent better then my la sportivas for nearly double the price, but they also arent much worse. i would say if they fit you, get them. but keep in mind: they are made of sinthetic fabric, so they will soon start to smell really bad, and there is no way to get that smell out of them. i store mine outside the house. qwert

I've been using a pair of Bufo Spiders for a couple of years now. Got them as my first pair. The shoes are durable. Soft and sensitive. Rubber is descent. Not as good as Stealth but the rubber lasted longer than my 5.10. Price is awesome though. I found the Spider was a good all around shoe.
