hey aid freaks. Anyone no where to get GOOD keyhole hangers? Not the Pika Pieces of s--- that don't fit over most fat rivets? I bought a few from the ASCA a few years ago, and they are great. Anyone no where to get these? thanks!

I have never seen any kind except for the pika ones. But I saw a climbing tech tip awhile ago that explains how to make one from an ordinary bolt hanger. I think it works best if you use a specific brand of bolt hanger, SMC I think. Sorry I couldn't help more. I have a couple of the pika ones and if for some reason they didn't fit over the rivet I would just use a wire cinch style rivet hanger.

*EDIT* I did some looking and I think THESE hangers are slightly bigger than the Pika ones.

For broken old rivets there's also the Fish Doubloons. These are pretty neat for hanging onto crappy old rivets w/o a decent head. I have a couple of Pika hangers but I haven't encountered any rivets fat enough that I could not use them -- perhaps people are placing nicer rivets outside NH and NC

Make your own. Just get a drill and a file. It is way cheaper.

Chris Mac gave me some swell removable bolt hangers for helping to edit his books.

I don't know who makes them or where he got them. Perhaps you could check his supertopo website?
