Hmmmm... Crack just didn't do anything for me. I switched to something even more screwed up: dating.

Don't wait to get back on the rock. Tape it up and jump back on it.

Cheers,

A.W.

remedy: simply tape flapper back down and begin climbing immediately. if it bleeds to much simply pack chalk into wound. if you can see bone then you had ought to wait a little while. if you think you have a skin condition then refer to the "thin skin?" thread i started the other day in the "injuries and accidents" forum. apparently swedish bitters will make it heel faster, see aforementioned thread for more information on this substance. or you can kick that crack habit!

Flappers on the back of your hand are more commonly known as 'gobis'...In particular once they scab up and start looking like leprosy.

Crack climbing injuries that I've witnessed include seperated ribs, torn rotator cuff, and torn finger tendons. Gobis are more like annoyances, although they do make for good excuses.

Put a little neosporin on it and a bandaid then tape over it, and you should be OK to climb if you feel like it. Maybe pick a size of crack that works the back of your hand in another spot.

My injuries from crack are usually limited to nose bleeds. Expect for the unusual cases of blacking out, but that's only when I mix up my blow and smack...

How long should you wait?

Well how long does it take you to smoke a joint and tape your hand?

You can climb as soon as you want, but do us a favor, and wait about a year before you post again.

Seperated ribs? From just crack climbing? Or was falling involved.

Hmm injuries on crack.

If i had a nickel for every time my pipe blew up freebasing and set my face on fire, id have 6 nickels. Throw in, losing the house, family, making partner at the firm. People always ask me, do you regret using crack? And I tell them , look at me now! look how happy I am on crack! I love it!

Cool Cool, I just heard that the scare tissue has a tendency to rip open over and over again and i have had this nice quarter size scab on the back of my hand for the past 3 months, and its annoyance i was also just curious what to look for to help prevent from injuring myself while doing something stupid.

Peace

Quit doing stupid things. That's a start. jt has more input, too.
