I'm doing a short research project about the Sierra Nevadas near Granada in Spain, then going there for two weeks to study and climb... anyone know some good climbing spots?? and any cool facts about the mountains ...

Sorry, but don't really know too many "cool facts about the mountains" near Granada. I do know about some very good climbing areas though. Try a small sport area within the city limits of Malaga, very good limestone climbing. Also, go to El Chorro and experience not only the great climbing, but the very exposed catwalk running most of the length of the gorge. Have fun.

Hi,Iīm from Spain and I can say you Granada is one of the best place in the world,a beautiful city and people.If you want to climb,the best place in the south of Spain is El Chorro(Malaga),but near of Sierra Nevada is Los Vados,Motril and other place for sport and tradicional climb.If you are looking for climb mountains,the best is El Veleta and the highest is Mulhacen.Therīs the Sol y nieve ski area,one of the best in Spain,if you looking for ice climb,in Sierra Nevada there is a big cavern,the name El Goteron,very good icefalls,etec etc.......
