I recently hiked up to the rainbow wall in red rocks. I only have the newest guidebook by Roxanna Brock which shows only a handful of routes there. Does anyone have info or know how to find any other routes aid or free for this wall?

Nice job Ammon. That's quite a serious undertaking. I heard about this route and was wondering if anyone had ever attempted to repeat it. Have you heard of anyone else doing it after you and your brother?

Nice work Ammon, and nice pics, too. I took a pile of pictures from the top of cloud tower this fall (got engaged up there), and all the climbers I've shown them to just look at the pics with that roof and ask about routes :) That thing looks amazing! Here's a pic from the tower - not linked cuz I'm too lazy to resize it... http://squirrel.mine.nu/...ocks_05/dscn0356.jpg

Just getting your gear to the base of the rainbow wall is a massive pain in ass. Unless you like trudging up a steep, brush choked, boulder gully for miles is your idea of a good time! It made me wish I was back in Zion...simply walking across a river to get to the base.

The OG route(herbst/hamilton) is super cruiser if you are a decent free climber. The rack is wicked light and 1 60M rope allows you to rap the route. It's also very good climbing. josh

We were there to climb (wall style) the Original Route. After a FULL day of schlepping gear to the base and it started to storm. In retrospect, I'm glad we weren't on the wall-might have died. It was the worst storm I have ever seen in the desert!
