Hi I am new to climbing and english is not my mother tongue so I don't know if I can describe you exactly what the problem is.I'll try though... After 2 hours of bouldering I hurt my ring finger in a crimp grip.It happend probalbly because of my fingers being tired after 2 hours and not because I applied too much pressure on the crimp grip. My finger is not swallen and it only hurts (and this is weird) not when I crimp but when i use an open grip. It's been 15 days that I am not climbing because of it and it's getting better but it still hurts.Does anyone know what my problem is? Should I start climbing and just not hold open grips or I shouldn't at all? Thank you very much

STAY OFF IT!! I hurt my ring finger on my hangboard and from what I researched you do not want to climb at all for at least 4 weeks. I quit (I know it's hard) for a little over a month. When I started climbing again I taped my finger to help me remember I had a hurt finger. It's been about a month since I started climbing again. It still doesn't feel 100% but it's healing. Your finger will not be able to heal if you keep climbing. Climb on (when your finger feels better)

Sounds like a pulley injury. I have the same thing right now. Rest it, Ice it and Ibuprofan or Advil for anti-inflamatory.

Does it feel like anything is "catching" when you open your hands? If so, it could be trigger finger. I've had trigger finger in my ring finger in both hands (separate occassions). The first time I was out about 2 months, the second time about 5 weeks. The most important thing is to rest and come back slowly.
